it's official...I get to connect the dots...

After last weeks' D38 school board meeting, rather, during the meeting I was thinking to myself...I think I need to write about other things, straight reporting is not so interesting. Then the comment was made by one of the high school principals, "we're not cutting fat anymore, we're cutting skin and bones" and it hit me...I need to go the route of investigative journalism. It's much more interesting to connect dots and put the puzzle together for busy people who catch every other headline. Needless to say, I've been give the permission to go this route (!!!), in addition to the straight facts piece. Very excited! The issue won't be out until December but I'll post a link once it's up.
